About the game: October Night Games

October Night Games is a digital tabletop game about witches, vampires, dark magic, unspeakable cults, dogs and cats. Game has a procedurally generated story and vintage silent movie aesthetics, it combines tabletop mechanics, 3D and hand-drawn 2D graphics.

In October Night Games two groups of cultists confront each other: “Changers” are summoning the Great Old Ones and “Keepers” are trying to stop them. But the real team affiliation will be unknown till the final showdown. All the cultists meet in a small village and prepare for the final ritual, that’ll happen during Halloween’s full moon. Each cultist has an animal familiar, their combinations may differ from game to game, creating unpredictable alliances. This guarantees high replayability in single and multiplayer modes.

The game is inspired by Roger Zelazny’s “A Night in the Lonesome October” and many other classic horror novels, by H. P. Lovecraft, Bram Stoker, Abraham Merritt, Gustav Meyrink in particular. The game’s rituals reference both real-life and fictional occult schools. All main characters are created with direct or indirect references to classic horror literature or movies from the beginning of the 20th century – like Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Frankenstein, etc.
