Indie Arena Booth Presskit

COVID-19 won’t change the game, but the platform: In 2020 Indie Arena Booth goes fully digital! Our mission has always been about providing you with the best opportunities to present your game to publishers, press and avid gamers from all around the globe. Indie Arena Booth has never been about the physical place but about the mindset - we are all united in our belief that ambitious indie games make the world a better place.

And with Indie Arena Booth Online, the world’s largest indie games showcase goes from 1.500 square meters in 2019 to mind mind blowing 100,000 square meters in 2020! With our fully self-developed multiplayer online game every visitor can discover 185 games from 53 countries. As Indie Arena Booth Online is browser-based, there is no need to download or install anything. Just click and play!

Every participating developer and publisher will be able to build their own booth thanks to an innovative and intuitive WYSIWYG booth editor by Super Crowd Entertainment. This will create a colourful and multi-faceted gaming world that is in no way inferior to the diversity and creative range of the physical Indie Arena Booth.

Here’s just a tiny glimpse of all the diverse and varied booths the participating devs built with their unleashed creativity:

Together we are stronger! Now more than ever! From super-experimental solo developers to the stars of the indie scene - we got them all. Our goal is to create a place where developers can easily present themselves to business partners, streamers, publishers and press - and of course where gamers will play the next indie hit. With Indie Arena Booth Online this place evolved from being physical-only to being accessible from all around the world.

On top of our collection, we will have a choice of indie-friendly publishers with well-known titles that players might already know and love or discover for the first time.

“Developers first” is our motto as it’s the developers who showcase their games themselves. And with Indie Arena Booth Online we aim to give them the best opportunities to showcase their games even during times of crisis.

The Indie Arena Booth Online removes all restrictions and limitations of physical events. While in 2019, the total area of the Indie Arena Booth was 1,500 square meters, its 2020 incarnation will span a gigantic 100,000 square meters of virtual space that can be explored in its entirety by visitors. A total of 227 individually designed booths (including game and community booths) invite visitors to explore with numerous easter eggs. And thanks to the intuitive and easy-to-use navigation, all visitors will find their way around at lightning speed.

Indie Arena Booth Online 2020 will be supported by 16 publishers all representing their games lineups this year. Embedded in a spectacular online world to discover and explore, all visitors will be able to play the upcoming indie hits by these publishers at their leisure, get detailed information about them and exchange ideas with the developers.
