Chantey is a pirate-metal-inspired, top-down adventure game developed for the GAMEBOY™. Set in an alternate history where Golden Age pirate mythology and headbanging heavy metal riffs collide, players embark on an epic journey to collect mystical sea chanteys, using them in rhythmic combat to overcome enemies, navigate treacherous waters, and survive the horrors lurking beneath the ocean’s waves. Chantey offers a unique, cross-genre experience, combining elements of classic adventure and rhythm gameplay with modern game design, and is presented in a strikingly unique visual style that pushes the hardware to its limits.
